Heavy Assembler

Qualifications:

• 6 months to 1 year of assembly/manufacturing/material handling experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate Crane and Forklift (certified preferred).
• Ability to learn pressure gauges, application, and how to read them.
• Ability to read and understand assembly blueprints and bill of materials.
• Basic knowledge of lean methods.
• Understand and follow the quality & production policy and procedures and detect defects.

Responsibilities:

• Assembly pipes, valves, gauges, reliefs, burners, and other associated equipment on pressure vessels and skids.
• Use hand/air/power tools.
• Inspect all parts for defects to ensure the quality of the products.
• Inspect all connections to ensure they are properly sealed.
• Identify and document vessel parts/components.
• Prepare and secure parts or vessels for hydrostatic testing per regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
• Assist in loading of shipments.
• Cut and thread pipe.
• Install, align and seal flanged pipe.
