Tractor Technician

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and complete repairs, as necessary
• Perform installation of equipment including Qualcomm, headache racks, mirrors, safety equipment, strip stickers, decals, and vehicle numbers, and preventative maintenance on equipment, including checking the MPH setting, fluids, light bulbs and belts and hoses.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, ensuring that all equipment is checked in and out
• Promptly complete and submit required paperwork associated with repair and service
• Conduct state inspection of all tractors and trailers following company inspection procedures
• Perform new driver check in, including assignment appropriate equipment and driver termination check out, including completion of equipment inventory
• Clean and detail tractors, shuttle tractors and trailers to local vendors, as necessary
• Observe and comply with company safety policies and procedures and DOT rules and regulations
• Shift work, including weekends and holidays, with occasional overtime, as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift up 50-100lbs pounds with assistance
• Ability to function in a shop environment, which includes exposure to outside temperatures and conditions, loud noises, fumes, odors and potential safety hazards, while applying knowledge of safety procedures at all time
• Ability to stand/stoop for extended periods of time, use hands, arms, legs and move whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and pulling
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Must have own hand tools
• Valid driver’s license; CLD preferred
• Working knowledge of industry and tractor-trailer components
• High School diploma or GED required

• Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:30pm
• Location: Sapulpa, Oklahoma
• Starting Pay $15.00-$22.00 per hour
• Temp-to-Hire after 90-day evaluation
