Action Group Staffing is currently seeking 5 experienced Header Sub Arc/Lance Operator for a manufacturer in the Port of Catoosa area.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements of Header Sub Arc/Lance Operator:
- 3+ years of experience
- Must be able to pass a 1g Saw Plate Sub-Arc and 2g Plate Test
- Ability to remove metal with carbon arc gouger
- Weld trunnion to end of headers
- Experienced with overhead and jib cranes
- Working knowledge of standard welding procedures
- Military Encouraged to APPLY!
Responsibilities of Header Sub Arc/Lance Operator:
- Weld trunnion to end of headers
- Utilize overhead or jib crane to position project piece
- Align electrode head over the weld joint repeatedly and with precision
- Set controls on welder and load flux
- Monitor gauges and finished product for quality assurance
- Utilize hand torch or furnace
